Pumpkin Saga Continues

Look, dads pumpkins finally turned orange!!   Dad cut them off the vine about a month ago and brought them into the house.  They've been sitting in the wreck-room with the "happy" light glowing on 'em.  Dad is gonna make pumpkin bread on Saturday - sure hope we get a sample !! 

 Hopefully we'll have pictures of us eating some yummy pumpkin bread!!   Dad better get to the pumpkins before Black Pearl does!!

Peee ewww

So mom was at the dinning room table doing her college payroll homework and I, as usually, was sitting at her feet.  All of a sudden, mom gets up holding her nose and runs out of the room muttering my name.   Boy, can I clear a room - it was just a little fartie, one would think I crop-dusted the whole house with the look I got.   Have a great weekend - hope you don't have to sleep in the dog-house tonight.

Yummy Dinner !

Mom's been mixin it up for us - our dinner anyway.  Been addin more fruits and veggies to our dinner.  Last night, we got kibbles, apples, and green beans.   Sometimes we get kibbles, bananas, and green beans,  or kibbles, apples, and pumpkin, or kibbles, apples, and sweet potatoes.   We LUV LUV LUV whatever mom mixes in with our dinner kibbles!

Holiday Pug Pawty

We went to our Seattle Pug Holiday Pawty on Saturday.   We saw lots of puggy furends.   We even won a raffle basket.  Black Pearl kept shaking her holiday Tree hat off - and mom had to hook Otis's Antler holiday hat around his neck and under his halter.  The Seattle Metro area has a serious Parvo Virus outbreak so not alot of puggy furends came.  But those of us who do go sure had a ton-of-fun!   Our next pawty is in February, our annual Valentine pawty - can't wait!

Gettin Ready for Santa Pug

Santa Pug is coming, Santa Pug is coming.  Will be here in just a few short weeks.  We are getting ready!  We have a Holiday Pug Party to go to coming up this Saturday, Decembe 1, 2012.  Do you think we should wear our new hats?   Our Holiday Pug Party will help Seattle Pug Rescue so they can help more puggies find their furever homes.  We are real excited we get to go.  Hopefully we'll have some pictures to share with ya'll next week.

Good Bye Sammy - We Love You

Good bye Sammers.  We've only knew you a short time.  As you and Turdie run and play, every now and again pause and remember all the wonderful times you had in Iowa.  How special Stella Rose, mom, and dad are; and how much you are loved by your extended blogging family too.

Humphrey Pug Cartoon

Mom's been slackin lately.   Sorry for our absence.   Mom's been real busy working on a couple big projects for her Payroll Tax class she is taking online.  Her thumbs have been workin, but not on OUR blog!!

When she takes a break from taxes, she goes onto Facebook (instead of our blog) and she found this super adorable site called Humphrey Pug Cartoon  - Humphrey is a twice weekly comic strip by Mark Wood about a lovable little pug.   Here's his latest cartoon.  Mark puts out a cartoon each Sunday and Wednesday.  Mom "liked" his facebook page and now she gets his newest cartoons as soon as he posts it.   Hope you can find his page and become a fan too!

Happy Belated Birthday

Here she is with her Birthday present  -  a squeeky Kong she picked out last night when we went to PetsMart.   Black Pearl's actual birthday was Monday, November 5th but mum was soooo busy we didn't have time to celebrate until last night.

Pug-O-Ween Seattle Style

Pug O Ween was on Saturday, October 27, 2012.  We saw a LOT of pugs!  We sure had fun!  Black Pearl was wearing her girly Skull-N-Crossbones sweater and Otis was wearing his Washington Huskies Jersey. 

I think this is a picture (glimps) of our furiend Winston Wilburs !  Only we didn't know he was there.   We're pretty shy at pawrtys, we stay very close to mom.   Sorry Winston Wilbur for not saying HI :(  We'll be sure to look for you at the next Seattle Pug Rescue pawrty!

Happy 21st Birthday

Here I am on June 5, 2010, the day I found my forever home.  My Brian picked me out, actually - I picked him out cos I kept jumping over wall of the fenced area I was in and kept running over to him.  Finally, Brian asked if he could take me for a walk so the Seattle Pug Rescue people put a halter on me and gave Brian a leash.  Brian didn't let go of leash until I got home.

Fast forward to today, October 28, 2012.  Today is Brian's 21st Birthday.   Happy Birthday Brian, thanks for bringing me HOME !!



Yummy Popcycle

It's all yummy yummy until SOMEONE decides HE wants the popcycle stick ALL to HIMSELF!   Love those Cherry DQ Dillybars!   Shared the last little bit with the kids until Otis went postal on Black Pearl.   Wow, he's soooo m e l l o w, mom was quite shocked.    Black Pearl is usually the aggressor, infact, she's a hoarder, has to HAVE all the toys and if another doggy is playing with one, she'll wait until the doggy looks away or turns away and then she'll swoop in and take the toy.  I guess we all have our THATS MINE tude.

Finally, Seattle Rain

What to do on a rainy day?  We know - take a nap!   Our 80 days of little-to-no rain has come to an end.  Very unusual for Seattle, but we liked it.  That also means the back door is closed and we have to remember not to run into the glass slider when we want to go outside.  Mom had to finally turn on the house heat too.   So I guess we'll just have to hunker down, find our favorite napping spot cos its gonna be a long, wet rest of fall and winter.

Mom's Home

So, mom was gone ALL DAY YESTERDAY, like left at 5:00 am and didn't get home from

 work until 7:15 pm. 

We sure have a lot of licking and cuddle to make up for! 

A nice surprise for us though, she's HOME ALL DAY TODAY!

Yesterday Was A Very Special Day

Black Pearl reporting today:  Yesterday was a very special day!  Yesterday was mommy #1's birthday.  Mommy #2 helped me make a birthday note for her.   Mommy #1 got me as a pup, took wonderful care of my for almost 5 years.   Then she had a baby girl, Sammy.   I got real jealeous, began sitting on baby Sammy, pushing baby Sammy, and other naughty actions toward baby Sammy.   I really didn't mean too get pushy, but Mommy #1 was MY MOMMY first.   Then mommy #2 offered to take me in as her babies were all growed up, like 18 and 19 yearls old, can't push them around even if I tried.  Plus Otis needed a sister, somepug to show him how to play and somepug to cuddle with.   Mommy #1, baby Sammy, and Daddy Geoff then had to move to Colorado.   Mommy #1 and Mommy #2 have kept in touch via facebook  -  Mommy #2 posts lots of pictures of me and Otis so Mommy #1 can see our adventures.   I still love Mommy #1  -  I sure her birthday yesterday was very special.   Someday if Mommy #1 should come from Colorado to Seattle or if we every go to Colorado, I'd sure like to see Mommy #1, baby Sammy, and daddy Geoff.

Punkin Leaves

Look how big dad's punkin leave are getting.   He has 5 punkins growing.   Still green though, should start turning orange soon (?).   He followed the directions to a T - plant 100 days before harvest.  Because EVERYONE else has orange punkins, he thinks he planted them too late.   Next year he's gonna start sooner.  One punkin is the size of a bowling ball, two about the size of a large cantalope, two about the size of a softball.  We can almost smell those pies baking . . . yummm . . . .  Who wants a piece of punkin pie?

Good Bye Trudie

This is a picture of Trudie.  Trudie went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday.  Trudie was only 6 years old.  She leaves behind a brother Sam and a sister Stella Rose, along with two broken humans.  Well wishes and kind words can be left on Stella Rose's blog at http://stellroselong.blogspot.com/.  
We didn't know Trudie very long, just a few months.  Trudie, Sam, and Stella Rose sent Black Pearl a Halloween Get-Well-Card when Pearly was sick with kennel cough.  We will cherish the card for ever.

A Pug Morning

I woke up this morning

and what did I see?

A wrinkled up Pug face

...Just staring at me!

She had big black eyes

And a short little nose.

What's Up?

So, mom, what's up?  You've forgotten to tell the whole world about our adventures - you feelin OK?

Yeah, mom, you even skipped Bible Study last night - hmmmm.

Mom's been a bit forgetfull the last few nights, I guess trying to get people paid is a lot of work.  Pay day is coming and now that all the Principal's teacher's, teacher's assistance, lunchroom people, custodians and all the humans it takes to support schools are now all back to work, they expect to be paid on October 1st.  Ok, Ok, we'll give you some slack - but you'd better get your poop-in-a-group shape up mom!!!

Last Few Days of Summer

Well, the last few days of summer are here.  Today it was about 76 degrees outside.  Maybe Wednesday and Thursday it might get up to 80 but then cool down to low 70's.  Mom keeps the back door open so we can use the screen doggy door but we get the feelin that may come to an end soon.   That means that Otis will need to get mom or dad's attention when he needs to go outside.  He usually runs to the back door, runs out to the living room and runs around - mom begins to panic cause he's wandering - then its get him outside quick - no potty in the house!  Black Pearl usually goes to the back door and stares at the door and then stands there and stares back at dad in his recliner - gives him the stink eye :)    What's your sign that you need to go outside?

Rolly Treat

Oh look, a yummy treat, thanks mom.

Can I have your treat?     NO!   You already ate your treat from mom.

Black Pearl devours her treat, any treat in about 2 minutes.   Otis likes to enjoy his treats.   Any treat he gets it usually take him awhile to eat.   These Smart N' Tasty Canine Dental treats (from Mr. Chewey)  take him a good 1/2 hour to eat.   Otis chokes easly on hard treats so mom has to watch him carefully, he usually only gets soft treats so hard treats are extra special to him.

Fever Broke

Looks whos feelin better  -  mom says Pearly's fever must have broke cos around midnight Pearly was real restless in her crate.  Mom and Pearl got up and went out to the livin room and Black Pearl ran around and played a bit.  Finally aboot 45 minues later they went back to bed.   Today, Black Pearl has been runnin around, her cough sounds much better - hardly coughin at all, and her eye aint so goopy.   Still has meds to take but fellin much much better.    Thanks for all the juju for Black Pearl !

Black & White

How do we look without any color?   Since Black Pearl aint feelin too good and all she wants to do is sleep, mom started playing with her camara on her phone and found this setting.   We think we look pretty darn cute.   Hopefully Pearly will be feeling better tomorrow and we'll havesomethin interesting to report.   Until then, hugs to all !

One Sick Puggie and One Not-So-Much

Ohhh, I don't feel too well.   I gots me an eye infection and a terrible sounding cough.   Mom took me to the doggie doctor last night - I got me a shot in the shoulder, got violated when the nurse lady HAD to get a poo sample, got drops to make my eyes turn green and then made me look into this bright light . . . oh the horrors.   I coughed all night long, a deep raspy kind of cough.   Mom brought home some pills for me to take and has to drop stuff in my left eye - all this for the next two weeks.

Here's a sample of what I sound like what mom calls it a barking seal kind-of bark.   Doesn't keep me from playing - at least for a little bit.

Otis is feeling just fine.   He even gets to / wants to go outside and play.   Me, Black Pearl, I just want to do "my business" and go back and cuddle with mom.

Bacon & Labor Day

Labor Day was yesterday and it started out on a high note.  First off, mom and dad were home - both got to take a holiday from work - sounds nice.   Secondly, do you see whats gonna be added to our breakfast?   Not JUST eggs but also BACON.   We've never had bacon added to our food.   Oh, it was sooo yummy.   Even this morning there was two extra pieces that didn't get eaten so we got BACON AGAIN.  

We LOVE you mom and dad !!!

Sausages !

Oh, look what WE had for dinner !   OMP - Sausage !   It was sooo yummy !    Never had sausage before, it even and a maple / brown sugar coating - just slide over the lips and through the gums . . .
