We play outside today as we say goodbye to April. Amazingly all four weekends in April were dry, no rain on Saturday or Sunday. It's been a long-time since that happened here in the Pacific Northwest. Looks like our people dad needs to mow - we don't like the mower. Our people daughter (she's 19) has a firepit that sits the bricks in the background - that was fun to watch. Our people son (he's 20) had a bonfire a few nights ago. There was lots of peoples here, all we have to do is give one of 'em "puppy eyes" and we got a marshmellow. Mom let us have one each and then it was bed-time. Oh the sweet marshmellow dreams we had. Hope our people have more bonfires!

Look What We Got To Play With
Look what dad brought us - Cutthroat Trout - 2 of em. We got to play with them for a couple of minutes before he did what looked like a horrible necropsy gone wrong. Black Pearl wanted to play with them some more as the flopped all around the kitchen floor. And then guess what dad did - he FRIED them in a pan and ate them.

More Sports - UGH
Well, today begins the NFL Draft - gonna be on dad's TV all night tonight and all weekend long. Also, its opening day of fishing on Saturday. Dad's gonna hit the lake at 5:30 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday morning and hopes to have his limit and be back home in-time for the NFL Draft each day. Seattle Seahawks just made their pick - I think dad's happy, he's smiling. What a life for dad. We would rather have snacks and our chew toys.

We Have A Siser - Zoee!
Surprise, we have a sister! Zoee is a Rat Terrier - she is 5 1/2 years old. Mom's daughter Amy got Zoee the day after Thanksgiving 4 years ago. Zoee does NOT LIKE her picture taken so we havent been able to introduce her until today. Zoee is actually the first dog our human family got. Otis came next - this June will be his 2nd year, and Black Pearl came in August 2011. Today was a cold Seattle day, unlike the past weekend which was near 70 - today barely made it to 60. Our mom had to turn-on the heater this afternoon. This coming weekend, maybe, (paws crossed) it might be the 4th dry weekend in a row! Hopefully tomorrow will be warmer.

Camp Long in West Seattle
We went on our hike to Long Camp in West Seattle on Saturday - very fun and very long walk. Took us about 3 hour to go 3 miles. Stopped frequently to drink our water and eat a little bit of snacks to keep us hydrated. The weather completely cooperated - high of about 70 - third weekend in a row! Hope mom will take us on another hike/walk - we really enjoyed meeting a bunch of new people friends!

Going On A Hike Tomorrow
We are getting ready to go on a hike/walk tomorrow. Mom tells us we're going to Camp Long in West Seattle. The total length of the walk is about 3 miles. We're told there's a climbing rock called Schurman Rock (we're not going to do that) , a Creek called Longfellow Creek, a pond called Polliwog Pond (hope we see some polliwogs) and a great bird spotting area - not that we'll be allowed to chase any. Will have pictures to show ya next week - stay tuned!

Uh Oh - Weigh-In Day
Well SOMEBODY (mom) got a letter from Weight Watchers in the mail and decided maybe we should be weighed. Otis weighed-in at 26.7 lbs and Black Pearl - 27.6 lbs. Looks like maybe we won't be getting some ice cream tonight. More fruits and veggies in our kibbles and no more popcorn for awhile - not sure how we feel about that - humph.

Today We Walk
Today we went for a walk. Mom hasn't taken us out very much lately - too much rain and the occasional snow. We had a nice long walk - like a tounge hanging-out long walk. Mom says we'll get a nice dinner and probably a nap after that walk. Hopefully now that is officially Spring we'll get to go on more walks. Suppose to rain again the rest of the week - send us good weather vibes, we want to go on more walks!

The U.P.S. man came! We were very curious as to what we'd find in the box - come to find-out its Calla Lilly Bulbs. The bulbs were hiding a papersack so we couldn't chew on them. Now we have to wait for good weather again so we can plant the bulbs. Hopefully this weekend will be nice. Black Pearl is glad to know we won't have to move any of the strawberries! Have you started your spring planting?

Stick War
Another beautiful Seattle afternoon! Nice enough to play one of Black Pearl's favorite games - stick war! Black Pearl loves to play and Otis - not so much. Otis tolerates the game. He only likes to play as long as the stick is long enough to not get too close to Black Pearl's teeth, she's pretty aggresive with her toys. Raise your paws, how many of you love to play stick wars?

Spring Gardening
Pacific Northwest weather has been soooo nice lately, we'ere getting ready to help our humom clean-up the garden. Anxiously awaiting a U.P.S. delivery any day now to bring us some plants our humom ordered from Q.V.C. Of course she was careful to get some that in case we decide to eat them they won't hurt us. Black Pearl hopes we don't have to take out any strawberry plants to make room for the new flowers cause thats her favorite place to poo.

Gully Washer of-a-day ?
Weather man said on Sunday that today was supposed to be a "Gully Washer of-a-day along with being pretty windy" - WRONG - turned out to be a pretty nice afternoon to play outside. Gonna have nice weather all the way through Easter we hear. Maybe our humom will hide some eggs for us to hunt on Sunday. Nah, just give us some treats!
